  16. SECTION 1 - Floppy Drive Users

  19. Part 1: Making an autobooting disk for AmTank.

  22. Once you have 'unlharched' these files, put them on a blank disk. Then create
  23. the following directories:
  24.  
  25.    c
  26.    devs
  27.    l
  28.    libs
  29.    s
  30.  
  31. The disk name MUST be AmTank. (You can rename the disk from the menus in
  32. Workbench).
  33.  
  34. You must then copy the following files to the appropriate directories on
  35. the disk.
  36.  
  37. In the 'c' directory:
  38.  
  39.   Copy   'endcli'   from your WORKBENCH:c directory (i.e. the c directory
  40.                                                      on your original
  41.                                                      Workbench disk.)
  42.   Copy   'loadwb'   from your WORKBENCH:c directory
  43.  
  44. In the 'devs' directory:
  45.  
  46.   Copy   'system-configuration'   from your WORKBENCH:devs directory
  47.  
  48. In the 'l' directory:
  49.  
  50.   Copy   'Disk-Validator'   from your WORKBENCH:l directory
  51.  
  52. In the 'libs' directory:
  53.  
  54.   Copy   'icon.library'   from you WORKBENCH:libs directory
  55.

  57. Those are all the files you must copy.
  58.  
  59. You must now create an ASCII file in the s directory called startup-sequence.
  60. Use MEmacs if possible or your favourite ASCII text editor. The file should
  61. simply look like this:

  63. loadwb
  64. endcli
  65.  
  66. That's it!

  68. Then, all that remains to be done is to install the disk. To do this, go to
  69. CLI or SHELL then type Install AmTank: (Making sure you have already renamed
  70. the disk of course).

  72. Once all disk activity has stopped, you should find that you have a bootable
  73. disk with AmTank on it.

  123. Now simply reboot with the disk in DF0: and voila!

  125. Part 2: Making a non-booting disk for AmTank.

  128. To do this, once you have 'unlharched' all the files onto a floppy disk,
  129. simply rename that disk AmTank.

  131. This will allow you to run AmTank, ReadMe and HD-Install.

  134. SECTION 2 - Hard Drive Owners

  137. Once you have 'unlharched' all of the files to any directory of your
  138. choice (be it on your hard drive or floppy) ensure that all of the
  139. files are in that directory in the form of:

  143.                                    AT-Data_01
  144.                                    AT-Data_02
  145.                                    AT-Data_03
  146.                                    AT-Data_04

  165. Then just double click on the HD-Install icon and follow the on-screen
  166. instructions. The program assumes that all the necessary files are
  167. within the directory that you ran the program from.
